GRADUATE PROGRAM IN FOOD SCIENCE

The Postgraduate Program in Food Science of the Food Engineering Faculty of the State University of Campinas is undoubtedly the national reference for teaching and research in the Food Science area. Since its creation in 1969 with the first Master’s Degree in Food in the country, and the implantation of the Doctorate in 1975, the program has contributed significantly to various aspects in the area of Food Science & Technology in Brazil. It is the only program in Food Science in Brazil to have received a grade 7, signifying “Excellence”, from CAPES four times, and the National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) has considered the program a center of excellence since 1970.
